FOUR CHARGERS NAMED TO 2019 CACC BASEBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

(5/16/19) Three members of the Dominican College Baseball Team were named to the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball All-Academic Team as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara yesterday. The 36 honorees represent 11 of the 12 programs in the conference that sponsor the sport at the collegiate level.

(5/16/19) Three members of the Dominican College Baseball Team were named to the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball All-Academic Team as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara yesterday. The 36 honorees represent 11 of the 12 programs in the conference that sponsor the sport at the collegiate level.
Seniors Anthony Bartolomei, Justin Decker, Kyle Morgan and Zach Pernick were all named to the team. Bartolomei makes his first appearance on the team, while Decker Morgan and Pernick all earn their third CACC All-Academic honors. Bartolomei has a GPA of 3.50 (Criminal Justice), while Morgan has a GPA of 3.62 (Communications), Decker has a GPA of 3.81 (Financial Management) and Pernick has a GPA of 3.84 (Financial Management).
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
A pair of Goldey-Beacom College standouts led the way with respective GPAs of 3.97, including Trevor Jump (So., Sport Management major) and Tre Wilson (Sr., Finance major).
Twenty (20) student-athletes made the academic team for at least the second time in their respective careers, including seven for the third time.
Jefferson, which reached the semifinals of the CACC Baseball Championship, led the way with 10 honorees. Daniel Sabath was the team's highest GPA, as the sophomore sports a mark of 3.88. Wilmington University, which won the CACC Championship for the second-consecutive season, was next with seven honorees.
