MEN'S SOCCER PLACES TWO ON CACC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (7/14/21) Fifty (50) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2020-21 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 50 honorees represent 12 of the 13 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.

(7/14/21) Fifty (50) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2020-21 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 50 honorees represent 12 of the 13 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
Dominican College had two players earn All-Academic honors. Bruno Garcia (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) earns his third All-Academic accolades as he maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.91 in his major of International Management, while Antonio Zhu Sanchez (Alfafar Valencia, Spain) makes his first appearance as he maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.70 in his major of Business Management.
Georgian Court University led the way with 11 honorees, including Gianluca Cersosimo's team-best 3.96 cumulative grade point average in his major of Finance. Post University was next with eight student-athletes being recognized, including Fernando Duque Gonzalez, who had the top GPA on his squad with a 3.94 in Sport Management.
Wilmington University's Jackson Brandwene led the way on the all-academic squad with a perfect 4.0 GPA in his major of legal studies.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
♦ Eleven (11) of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Eleven (11) of the honorees made the CACC Men's Soccer All-Academic Team for the second time.
♦ Three of the honorees made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
