GEARY EARNS Co-SIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT ACCOLADES
Orangeburg, N.Y. (6/7/21) Dominican's Megan Geary has been named to the 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA) Division II Academic All-District® First Team as was announced by the Association last week.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (6/7/21) Dominican's Megan Geary has been named to the 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA) Division II Academic All-District® First Team as was announced by the Association last week.
This is her first All-District® honors.
Geary, a junior forward from Campbell Hall, N.Y. currently maintains a GPA of 3.89 in her chosen major of Occupational Therapy.
Joining her on the All-District® Team from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) are Payton Cole and Emma Kuciapinski of Thomas Jefferson University and Aliya Canefield of Georgian Court University.
A three-year starter for the Lady Chargers, Geary led the team and was second in the CACC in scoring in 2021. For her efforts, she was named to the All-CACC Soccer Team for the second time in her career.
The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccers Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the links above, and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
