MEN'S LACROSSE TABBED FOURTH IN 2020 CACC MEN'S LACROSSE PRESEASON COACHES POLL

(2/5/20) Two-time reigning champ Georgian Court University sits on top of the 2020 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced on Wednesday by Commissioner Dan Mara. GCU earned 34 points in the voting including four first-place votes. Voting for the poll was conducted by the league's seven head coaches in the sport.

GCU earned 34 points in the voting including four first-place votes. Voting for the poll was conducted by the league's seven head coaches in the sport.
Georgian Court, which claimed narrow victories over Chestnut Hill College in each of the first two CACC Men's Lacrosse Championship Finals, edged the Griffins in this year's preseason poll as CHC received 33 points and three first-place nods. Wilmington University, which has advanced to the CACC semis in each of its first two seasons at the varsity level, was third in this year's poll with 24 points.
Georgian Court returns several letterwinners from last season's CACC Championship team, including reigning CACC Player and Goalkeeper of the Year Austin Geissel. Chestnut Hill returns three of the league's top-five scorers from a season ago, including Carson Rees (3rd, 64 pts), JR Howell (4th, 63 pts) and Scott Wilden (5th, 61 pts).

The 2020 regular season gets underway later this month, as it will be a buildup to the CACC Men's Lacrosse Championship tournament on April 30 and May 2, at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J. The event is part of the CACC Spring Championship Festival, which will feature five championships in Lakewood from April 30 - May 3 (MLAX, women's lacrosse, softball, men's outdoor track & field, women's outdoor track & field).
