CHARGER TRIO COMBINES FOR 13 GOALS TO HELP LEAD CHARGERS PASSED UDC

With the win, the Chargers improve to 2-2 overall and UDC falls to 3-5.
Luke Martini (Abington, Mass.) led the way for the Chargers with six goals. Ryan Fischer (Monroe, N.Y.) scored four goals and added three assists. Marcos Pierce (Middleburg, Va.) finished with three goals and two assists.
Joe DeRosa (Jackson, N.J.), Daniel Carson (Lindenhurst, N.Y.), William Gordon (Amityville, N.Y.), Nicholas D'Alessandro (Levittown, N.Y.), and Nicolas Jelovcic (Massapequa, N.Y.) all added one goal for the Chargers.
Steffen Peabody (Brookhaven, N.Y.) started in goal for the Chargers and made 21 saves to help record the win for DC.
For UDC, Zander Torres and Turner Allison each scored a team-high five goals. Joseph Cote scored three goals while Eric Boco finished with one goal.
The Chargers started off strong in the first half with six goals in the first quarter and followed up with seven in the second quarter and held a 13-7 lead at halftime. The Chargers used an 8-0 run in the first half to gain control over UDC.
The Chargers continued their strong play in the second half with three goals in the third quarter and two in the fourth quarter on their way to the 18-14 win.
The Chargers will be back in action on Saturday, March 7th when they visit non-conference opponent Southern New Hampshire University at 1:00 PM.
