CHARGERS FALL TO UNIVERSITY OF BRIDGEPORT
Myrtle Beach, S.C. (2/25/17) The Dominican College baseball team fell to the University of Bridgeport, 15-8, this afternoon and now stand at 2-1 on the season.

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (2/25/17) The Dominican College baseball team fell to the University of Bridgeport, 15-8, this afternoon and now stand at 2-1 on the season.
UB jumped out to a 6-0 lead after four inings of play, before the Chargers got on the board with three runs in the bottom frame. Sophomore Jordan Bernacet (Schenectady, N.Y.) delivered an RBI single and Jayson Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y.) followed with a sacrifice fly ball. The third run came home on a Purple Knight error.
Dominican added two more runs in the fifth as third basemen Justin Cancel (Seaford, N.Y.) blasted a two run home run to make the score 8-5. A run came home on an error in the sixth and catcher Tyler Malia (Delran N.J.) hit a solo blast in the seventh to cut the lead to 14-7.
The last Charger run scored in the eight inning as Anthony Bartolomei (Oakhurst, N.J.) scored on a wild pitch.
Bernacet and Cancel finished the game with three hits a-piece and Cancel had two RBIs.
Arben Becaj (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took the loss.
