Jefferson and Dominican will square off in Sunday's championship final at 2:30 p.m., at Bobby Morgan Arena, and it marks the fourth-consecutive year the two teams will be meeting in the postseason. Dominican is 2-1 against Jefferson the last three years in the postseason, including picking up semifinal wins in 2017 and 2019. Jefferson's lone victory during the span was a triumph over the Chargers in the 2018 CACC Championship Final.
Sunday's winner will not just lock up the conference crown, but also earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament next weekend at a site to be determined.
Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) posted a double-double of 18 points and 11 boards, while Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) also pumped in 18 to lead Dominican's all-around victory. The Chargers were aggressive on the defensive end the entire affair and limited Bloomfield to just 1-of-12 shooting from the arc in the first half. Bloomfield shot just 29 percent from the floor for the game.
Jonathan Garcia (Sprinfield, Mass.) and Tedrick Wilcox (Pawtucket, R.I.) followed with 13 and 10 points, respectively for the Chargers, who will be making their fourth-straight appearance in the CACC Championship Final.
