COPMAN'S GAME WINNING THREE-POINTER HELPS LIFT CHARGERS OVER BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE

The 16th ranked Chargers improved their overall record to 15-1 and 7-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.) hit the game-winning three-pointer with 1.8 left on the clock to lift the Chargers over the Bears. Copman finished with 13 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Copman also finished a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc.
Seth Sharif-Brown (Hackensack, N.J.) led the Chargers in scoring with 14 points and also added nine boards. Wahaad Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished with 12 points while Javel Cherry (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) contributed eight points.
Emmanuel Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y.) provided a boost off the bench with 10 points. Brandt Roundtree (Plainfield, N.J.) added a team-high seven assists while Joshuel White (Paterson, N.J.) added five assists.
The Chargers shot 45.9% from the field as a team and outscored the Bears 33-16 in the paint. Dominican forced the Bears into 17 turnovers and scored 17 points off of turnovers.
The Chargers started the game off strong by outscoring BC 16-4 five minutes into the game. The Chargers led the whole first half and held a 32-25 lead by halftime.
Both teams played a close second half with Bloomfield holding the largest lead which was five points.
Trailing by two-points, Wahaad Johnson hit a jumper to tie the game at 68-68 with 1:09 remaining in the game.
With time running down, Justin Copman hit the game-winning three-pointer to secure the victory.
