The Chargers scored a run in the top of the first as Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.) got a one out run-scoring single to center field to bring home Arbely Soto (Bronx, N.Y.) and give DC the 1-0 advantage.
Dominican added a run in the second frame as Soto recorded the run-scoring groundout for the 2-0 edge.
New Haven got a run back in the bottom of the second and later tied the game in the fifth. However, the Chargers regained a 3-2 advantage in the sixth as senior left fielder Jayson Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y.) hit a run-scoring triple to center field.
UNH used a single to left field and a sacrificel fly ball to right field in the seventh to jump in front 4-3.
Gray, Decker and right fielder Joshua Colon (Bronx, N.Y.) all recorded two hits in the loss.
Sophomore Kyle Morgan (Boca Raton, Fla.) took the lost in the final two innings, allowing one run on three hits and one strikeout.
Following the loss, Dominican is now 13-20 overall on the season.
