Both Wilmington and Felician reached the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament in 2019, as the Wildcats claimed the CACC's automatic bid by winning the league, and Felician earned an at-large bid. Felician won the CACC South Division Regular Season Championship last year, but it was the Wildcats who weaved their way through the conference's post-season tournament to lock up its second CACC title in as many seasons.
The Wildcats will seek to win the program's third-straight CACC title in 2020, and their chances will be bolstered by the return of reigning CACC Player of the Year Eddie Nevins. The Golden Falcons will be led by starting pitcher Michael Gutierrez, who is one of the top hurlers in the East Region.
Rounding out the top three teams in the North Division included Dominican College (2nd, 53 pts, 1 1st-place vote) and Post University (3rd, 51 pts, 1 1st-place vote). Dominican reached the CACC Championship Final last season, while Post claimed the North Division's regulgar season crown.
The top three in the South Division also included Chestnut Hill College (2nd, 54 pts, 2 1st-place) and a pair of teams tied for third with 36 points (Bloomfield College and Thomas Jefferson University). Bloomfield heads to the South Division this season for the first time in divisional play.
