Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/18/19) The Dominican College men's basketball team has teamed up with the Go4theGoal, a national pediatric cancer non-profit organization, and will sponsor a Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer Game on February 16th.
On February 16th in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game against Goldey-Beacom College, the Chargers basketball team and coaching staff have purchased and will wear yellow laces on their sneakers during the game. The purchase of the laces allows 80% of the total cost to benefit kids with cancer and their families.
The Chargers have also created an online fundraising page where people can donate and 100% of all donations are used to benefit kids with cancer and their families in the state of New York. To donate online please go to: https://donate.go4thegoal.org/team/206254.
The mission of Go4theGoal is to improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes.
