After the win, the Chargers improved to 13-5 (6-3 CACC) on the season and the Eagles fall to 12-6 (6-3 CACC).
The Chargers finished the game with five players in double figures in points. Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) scored a team-leading 20 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) also recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Jonathan Garcia (Springfield, Mass.) contributed 16 points while Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) finished with 12 points and recorded five rebounds and four assists. Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) finished with 18 points.
The first half was evenly matched until the final three minutes when the Chargers were able to extend out to a double-digit lead by halftime. The Chargers shot 40% from the field in the opening half.
In the second half, the Chargers got off to a hot start to extend their lead over the Eagles. DC extended to their largest lead of the game over Post which was 31 and cruised to the 91-65 victory.
The Chargers shot 55.2% from the field in the second half. DC did a lot of their damage at the free-throw line by making 20 of 25 attempts for the game.
As for the Eagles, Darrick Boyd scored a team-high 18 points and recorded five rebounds and four assists. Isaiah Holmes finished with 11 points and four rebounds. D.J. Jarrett scored eight points and recorded three steals. Marcus Johnson added a team-high eight rebounds.
The Chargers will look to earn back-to-back wins when they return home to host Georgian Court University on Sunday, January 26th. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 5:00 PM.
