MEN'S BASKETBALL BOUNCES BACK AGAINST COUGARS
Caldwell, N.J. (2/22/20) The Dominican College men's basketball team completed the season series sweep of the Caldwell College Cougars after defeating the hosts, 67-49, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played in the George R. Newman Center.

With the win, Dominican improves to 20-6 overall and 13-4 in CACC play.
A strong first half by the Charger offense saw two players reach double figures as Jonathan Garcia (Springfield, Mass.) tallied 12 points and Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) netted 10 points. Senior Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) added nine points and six rebounds in the half. As a team, DC shot 50% (17-34) from the floor in building a 40-24 lead at the break.
A Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) layup with 2:26 left in regulation gave Dominican their biggest lead of the contest, 67-46 and they cruised to the victory.
Copman finished with the game's only double-double of 15 points (7-12 from the floor), 12 rebounds, five blocks and four steals.
Rodwell had 13 points, while Garcia, Burgess and Tedrick Wilcox (Pawtucket, R.I.) all netted 12 points a-piece. Burgess grabbed eight rebounds, while Wilcox tallied seven boards.
The Chargers host Concordia College this coming Wednesday evening on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
