MEN'S BASKETBALL SUFFERS LOSS TO BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE ON SENIOR DAY

With the loss, the Chargers fall to 20-6 overall and 11-5 in conference play. The Bears improve to 15-10 overall and 11-5 in conference play.
Prior to today's game, the Chargers celebrated Senior Day by recognizing their four Seniors. Brandt Roundtree (Plainfield, N.J.), Wahaad Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Victor Ogbo (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.) were all recognized during the pregame ceremony.
Copman finished the game with a team-high 17 points and also added a team-high five rebounds. Brandt Roundtree added 10 points while Javel Cherry (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and Wahaad Johnson each scored nine points. Johnson also recorded four assists.
Joshua Serrano (Amityville, N.Y.) contributed five points, four boards, and four assists. Seth Sharif-Brown (Hackensack, N.J.) added six points and four rebounds.
The Bears were led by Andres Fulgencio who recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Wesley Robinson added 15 points and five boards while Deavion Ellis finished with 13 points and four boards. Josh Morris finished with 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
The Chargers fell behind early with the Bears extending to their largest lead of the first half which was nine points. The Chargers cut the deficit to one point but the Bears kept the lead and entered halftime ahead of Dominican 37-33.
Early on in the second half, the Chargers cut the BC lead to two points. The Bears answered by extending the lead to double digits and then extended to their largest lead of the game which was 21 points.
The Chargers answered with an 11-0 run to cut the BC lead to 10 points. The Bears answered back and kept the double digit lead on their way to the 86-70 victory.
The Chargers will look to bounce back on the road next Wednesday, February 22nd when they travel to Post University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
