MEN'S LACROSSE FALLS SHORT TO FRANKLIN PIERCE

Rindge, N.H. (3/9/19) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team fell to Franklin Peirce University by a score of 14-7 in a non-conference game.
The Chargers fall to 1-3 overall on the season and the Ravens improved their overall record to 2-0 on the season.
Each team scored twice in the first quarter and went into the second quarter tied 2-2. Marcos Pierce (Middleburg, Va.) and Lorcan Teahan (Sparkill, N.Y.) each scored for DC in the opening quarter. The Ravens opened the second quarter with three straight goals to extend out to a 5-2 lead.
The Chargers ended the run with a goal by James Ross () but the Ravens added a goal at the end of the first half and held a 6-3 lead at halftime.
The Ravens outscored DC in the third quarter 5-0 and held an 11-3 lead going into the fourth quarter. DC outscored the Ravens in the fourth quarter but the Ravens were able to finish the 14-7 victory.
Ryan Fischer (Monroe, N.Y.) led the Chargers in goals with three and added two assists. Daniel Carson (Lindenhurst, N.Y.), Marcos Pierce, James Ross, and Lorcan Teahan each scored one goal.
Jake Castrof and Matt Brewster each scored three goals to lead the Ravens in the win. Luke Tracy and Mike Alibrandi each added two goals. Dominic St. Laurent, Josh Dorr, Callan Lemay, and Lawrence Bastianelli-Conlon each added a goal.
The Chargers will be back in action when they host the University of District of Columbia for their home opener of the season. The game is scheduled for 4:00 PM and will be played at Torne Valley Sports Complex.
