PIERRETTE WINS 110M HURDLES AT YALE SPRINGTIME INVITATIONAL

New Haven, Conn. (4/28/19) Freshman Lowell Pierrette (Elmsford, N.Y.) won the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.63 at the Yale Springtime Invitational held today and hosted by Yale University.

Freshman Brandon Adams (Highland Mills, N.Y.) took second place in the high jump with a jump of 1.90m (6 feet, 2.75 inches).

In the 100m dash, senior Andrew Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in second place with a time of 11.14. Pierrette took third place with a time of 11.25, while Adams finished in seventh place with a time of 11.42 and Dylan Roadarmel (New City, N.Y.) had a time of 12.17 to finish in 13th place.

The 4x100m relay team of Michael Merced (Pearl River, N.Y.), Pierrette, Adams and Pierre took third place with a time of 42.68.

The long jump saw Pierrette finish in fifth place with a jump of 5.88m (29 feet, 3.5 inches).

Pierre took eighth place in the 200m dash with a time of 23.12 and Pierrette finished in 10th place with a time of 23.28. Adams ran a time of 23.37 to finish in 11th place, while Patrick Bateman (Pearl River, N.Y.) took 13th place with a time of 23.66. Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 17th place with a time of 24.53 and Roadarmel took 19th place with a time of 25.62.

In the 400m dash, Bateman had the high finish of sixth place with a time of 53.23. Sophomore Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) had a time of 53.37 to take seventh place and Florvil finished in ninth place with a time of 54.14. Cameron Whitton (Monroe, N.Y.) took 14th place with a time of 56.68.

Junior David Jeffers (Florida, N.Y.) competed in the 800m run where he took 18th place with a time of 2:22.82.

In the 1500m run, sophomore Nicholas Beutel (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) finished in 12th place with a time of 4:38.28.
