64 STUDENT-ATHLETES NAMED TO 2018 CACC WOMEN'S SOCCER ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (12/19/18) Sixty-four (64) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 64 honorees represent all 13 schools in the CACC that compete in the sport at the varsity level.

Dominican College had one student-athlete qualify for the team as sophomore Jasmine Pesante (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) makes her first appearance with a GPA of 3.93.
Jefferson led all schools with 12 honorees, including nine that were named to the CACC All-Academic Team for at least the second time in their respective careers. Brooke Haden led the Rams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.86 in her major of Occupational Therapy.
Goldey-Beacom College followed with seven honorees, including sophomore Rose Benjamin, who had a perfect GPA of 4.0 in her studies of business. Benjamin was one of five student-athletes who posted 4.0 marks on the all-academic squad, and also included Merrinda Hill (Bloomfield College), Macie Pennington (Caldwell University), Krysta Memis (Wilmington University), Kate Tubo (Wilmington). Pennington was the CACC Top XVI Award winner at the 2018 CACC Women's Soccer Championship in early November for having the highest cumulative grade point average (including most credit hours completed) at the final's site.
Eleven (11) student-athletes on the list posted GPAs of 3.90 or higher. Twenty-five (25) were multiple-time honorees, including 10 of those making the squad for the third time, respectively.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
