WOMEN'S TRACK HEAD TO ARMORY LAST CHANCE MEET
New York, N.Y. (2/23/20) The Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the Armory Last Chance Meet held this past Friday at the Armory Track & Field Center.
New York, N.Y. (2/23/20) The Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the Armory Last Chance Meet held this past Friday at the Armory Track & Field Center.
The 60m dash saw sophomore Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) finish in 16th place with a time of 9.11. Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) took 25th place with a time of 9.53. Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) competed in the preliminiaries where she finished in 19th place in Heat #2.
In the 200m dash, junior Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.) had the high finish of 34th place with a time of 27.64, while Jean-Pierre took 39th place with a time of 27.95. Sophomore Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) ran a time of 28.77 to finish in 50th and Hammond finished in 65th place with a time of 31.02.
Jemedy also competed in the 400m dash where she finished in 28th place with a time of 1:04.47 and Joseph-Jarvis took 34th place with a time of 1:06.66.
The shot put event saw Auguste take 18th place overall with a throw of 8.97m (29 feet, 5.25 inches)
Dominican returns to action on March 27th when they travel to Ramapo Invitational.
