The Chargers are now 0-22 (0-16 CACC) after the loss. The Eagles improve to 4-23 (4-12 CACC) on the season with the win.
The Eagles earned the sweep over the Chargers with a 25-9 win in the opening set, 25-10 win in the second set, and a 25-13 victory in the third and final set.
Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) led the Chargers in points with five and added five kills. Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) recorded 4.5 points and three kills. Krystal Paulino (Bronx, N.Y.) recorded six assists while Essence Boyd (Peekskill, N.Y.) added five assists. Alicia Dennis (Kemp, Texas) recorded a team-high nine digs while Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge) added four digs.
Shannon Veale scored 18 points and recorded 15 kills to lead the way for the Eagles. Michelle Stublarec scored 10.5 points and recorded eight kills. Elizabeth McGrath finished with a team-high 20 assists.
