O'LOUGHLIN AND TEAHAN EARN CACC ALL-ACADEMIC ACCOLADES

(5/6/20) -- Sixteen (16) standouts on Wednesday were named to the 2020 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 16 individuals represent six of the seven schools that sponsor the sport at the varsity level in the conference.

New Haven, Conn. (5/6/20) -- Sixteen (16) standouts on Wednesday were named to the 2020 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 16 individuals represent six of the seven schools that sponsor the sport at the varsity level in the conference.
Dominican College had two players named to the team. Junior Bryan O'Loughlin makes his second appearance on the team, while junior Lorcan Teahan earns his first CACC All-Academic honors.
O'Loughlin maintains a grade point average of 3.59 in his major of special education and Teahan holds a grade point average of 3.56 in his major of athletic training.
Georgian Court University's Daniel Burnham had the highest cumulative grade point average of all members on the squad with a mark of 3.94, as the sophomore majors in business administration. Wilmington University's Jake Mollohan was next with a mark of 3.86 in his major of criminal justice.
Six of the members on the unit were named to the 2020 CACC MLAX All-Academic Team for at least the second time in their respective career, including Post University's Christopher Stahl, who was placed on the squad for a third time.
Wilmington led the way with five student-athletes named to the academic team, while Chestnut Hill College and GCU were next with a trio of honorees apiece.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution. Requirements for eligibility for the all-academic teams were slightly altered this spring only, as the 2020 spring season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
